Former US president Jimmy Carter has been admitted to the hospital to undergo a brain procedure following recent falls.

The 95-year old former president has been admitted at Emory Hospital and is said to have been bleeding from inside.

Jimmy Carter served as the US president for a single term only between 1997 and 1981 before he was defeated by Ronald Reagan.

He, however, did not sit idle after that but he engaged in several humanitarian programs under the Cater foundation.

He was awarded the Nobel price in 2002 for his humanitarian work.

Things have not been okay for the former president as he is said to have undergone a hip surgery before following a fall.
