Former sports CS Hassan Wario allowed to travel to Austria

Former Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario has on Friday been allowed by the court to travel to Austria.

The approval comes a day after a successful application made by the ex-Sports CS who claimed that he has a one year old baby who he needs to attend to.

In addition to that Mr. Wario through his petition indicated that he was the sole bread winner of his family which is in Austria and he has to attend to them.

Mr. Wario was arrested back in October and ever since he claims to have not met his family.

The court however directed the former sports CS to deposit back his passport on January 10, 2019.

Mr. Wario was arrested over graft charges, abuse of office among other six charges.He was however released on a Ksh 2 million bond that also saw his travel documents being taken.

Currently he serves as Kenya ambassador to Austria and was also appointed as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
