Former Ugenya MP, Member of Parliament Christopher Karan has been arrested for the offense of forging documents.
The former Ugenya MP Christopher Karan was arrested alongside his lawyer as confirmed by Ethics and Anti-Corruption boss in Mombasa.
The documents in question are the election petition documents used to challenge his opponent Mr. David Ochieng during the April elections.

In 2017 Mr. Christopher’s election in Ugenya was nullified by the court forcing a by-election.
Unluckily, he came second behind David Ochieng who garnered 18,730 votes (56.18%) against his 14,507 (43.51%).
In third place was Daniel Juma who got 78 votes and fourth was Brian Omondi who managed to garner 27 votes.
