One of the allegations leveled against the former Governor was the unclear purchase of a generator that cost Ksh 6 million that was later found at his residence.

The cost was not only questionable but was to be made clear was why was it at his residence when it was to serve the people of Vihiga.

Also questioned was alleged abuse of office when he and his deputy allegedly used their positions to benefit themselves.

Once the investigations are over, the DCI will determine if there is solid evidence to charge Moses Akaraga with graft charges.

The former Vihiga boss lost his seat in 2017 when he battled it against the current Governor Wilber Otichillo.
