Four arrested by DCI over fake tenders

Directorate of criminal investigations has on Friday arrested four suspects who are said to be conning Kenyans.

The four have been arrested after presenting fake documents to a complaint whom they had promised to award a tender worth Ksh 65 million to construct an administration block for a school in Sultan Hamud.

“The four were arrested after presenting fake documents to a complainant whom they had promised to award a tender worth Ksh.65 Million to construct an administration block for a school in SultanHamud.” Said DCI on twitter.

The four will be arraigned in court on Monday. The four are namely Zacharia Joel Owuor, Edward Mutuku, George Obeli and Moses Mugatia.

Members of the public have been asked to volunteer any information regarding the four.

The arrest comes a day after nine suspects were arrested for KPLC fraud. The nine were accused of fraudulent acquisition of public property.

The nine included Catherine Wanjiko Njuguna, Christine Nyawara, Edwin Macharia Ngamini, John Waweru, Jason Morara, James Ogechi, Jeremiah Onduko, Stephen njoroge Maina and Linet Njeri. They are to be arraigned in court to answer the charges.
