The famous four IEBC Commissioners led by Vice-Chair Juliana Cherera have welcomed the Supreme Court of Kenya verdict upholding the election of William Ruto as the fifth President of the country.
“After the Supreme Court of Kenya made her ruling yesterday September 5, 2022, on the presidential election petition, particularly with regard to our role as Commissioners, we wish to convey our appreciation to the Honourable Judges of the Supreme Court of Kenya and confirm that we respect their collective decisions,” Read the statement

The four continued by welcoming the statement by IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati promising to stand by the Rule of Law in the country.
“We also state here that we agree with the statement of the chairperson of the commission which was sent to the media yesterday. We wish to reiterate that we stand by the rule of law and statutes that promote effectiveness of the work of the commission,” said the four Commissioners
The news comes at a time when the Supreme Court of Kenya has thrown out all petitions challenging the election of William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathe Gachagua.
Preparations are also ongoing at Moi Stadium Kasarani ahead of their Swearing-in ceremony set for August 13th.
