Fraudsters arrested with over 40,000 sim cards in Juja

Five suspected fraudsters were on Sunday arrested in two separate apartments in Juja town and Gwa Kairu.

The operation led by DCI detectives saw the recovery of over 40,000 sim cards, three laptops, and several mobile phones.

Also found at the crime scene was a list of names and ID numbers in what looks like their suspects.

“FIVE suspected fraudsters were last night arrested by @DCI_Kenya Detectives from Juja, & Over 40,000 Sim Cards, several Mobile Phones, 3 Laptops & Lists of Names with ID Numbers confiscated in Two separate Apartments in Juja Town & Gwa Kairu. Suspects placed in lawful custody.” Said, DCi

Four of the suspected fraudsters namely Joseph Kuria, Joyce Kagure, George Maina & Evans Getabu were arrested at the 5th apartment in Juja.

One more suspect namely Loise Wanjiku was arrested in Gwa Kairu as further investigations continue.

“Intelligence leads led the detectives to the 5th Floor of Jeremy Apartments, Hse No. 36 where four suspects; Joseph KURIA, Joyce KAGURE, George MAINA & Evans GETABU were arrested, before proceeding to Gwa Kairo where one Loise WANJIKU was nabbed. Further Investigations Ongoing.”
