Saif-al-Islam Gaddafi the son of former President Muammar Gaddafi has registered to vie for the upcoming elections in Libya.
The news was confirmed by local media stations who released a video of Saif submitting his applications to vie for the top job in the country.

Libya is expected to go to the ballot on December 24th with the elections set for December 24th under the sponsorship of UN as agreed in Tunisia on November 2020.
Currently, registration of candidates is ongoing with the electoral commission as the country looks forward to a peaceful nation once the exercise is done.
Various government bodies including the High Council of State and Parliament are currently in disagreement on division of power.
