Team USA produced an impressive first half that handed them the lead in the 36th minute when Chelsea star Christian Pulisic went past Roden and passed the ball to Timothy Weah who finished it brilliantly.

Wales were outclassed in the first half as they failed to produce a single shot on target but rather hold on a 33% ball possession.

The introduction of Kieffer Moore in the second half changed the style of play for Wales who were now pushing more upfront and staying more confident. Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner was forced to make a couple of saves to deny the Dragons.

Tim Ream’s challenge on Bale awarded Wales a penalty that was comfortably converted by the former Real Madrid star in his 109th cap for the night.
