Garissa University attack: Three suspects found guilty

Three out of the four suspects arrested in connection to the Garissa University attack have been found guilty.

Appearing before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi the three were found guilty of being part of the attack as the fourth suspect was acquitted of all the charges.

The three are namely Mohammed Abikar, Hassan Edin Hassan and Rashid Charles Mberesero from Tanzania. Sahar Diriye was acquitted of all the charges against him.

It will be remembered that 148 students from Garissa University College lost their lives following an Al-Shabaab attack. 83 others sustained serious injuries.

Over 20 witnesses who included students came forward to assist in investigations.

Sentencing of the three suspects is set for July 3rd
