Gatundu South detectives confiscate 47 fake title deeds

DCI detectives from Gatundu South have arrested one person and confiscated 47 fake title deeds during an operation.

Ng’ang’a Kanina was arrested producing the fake title deeds without any permission before distributing them to county officials.

Unknown number of land registers from Machakos and Kimabu county were arrested during the operations at the suspects house.

“Detectives based at Gatundu South have arrested Mr. Ng’ang’a Kanina for the offence of making public documents without authority namely land Title Deeds.

Forty Seven (47) Fake, signed Title Deeds registered under different names and purported to have been issued by land registrars from Kiambu and Machakos counties were confiscated from his house.” Said DCI.

According to the police, the fake title deeds are used to cone unsuspecting Kenyans before making away with their money.

“The fake land title deeds are suspected to be used by fraudsters to obtain money by false pretences from unsuspecting members of the public. All the title deeds have been retained as exhibits pending further investigations.” Said DCI.
