George Kabii the OCS in-charge of Langata Police Station has succumbed to COVID-19 complications at the Nairobi Hospital.
A report by Citizen TV reveals that the OCS had an underlying diabetes problem but it was a heat failure that ended his life on Thursday.
The news comes a day after the country through the Ministry of Health confirmed 957 new cases of the virus rising the number of confirmed cases to 72,686.

At the same time, a total of 2,616 patients were reported to have recovered in the same period bringing the number of recoveries in the country to 49,878.
Sadly, the number of fatalities raised to 1,313 after 11 patients died from the virus in the same time frame.
“2,616 patients have recovered from the disease, 2,434 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 182 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 49,878. Unfortunately, 11 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the fatality to 1,313.” said Ministry of Health.
