It is reported that the night before his murder, Detering spent it with a young unknown African lady in his room.

Speaking to Nation, the Cottages manager Mr. Kazungu said the tourist used to wake up every day in the morning by 8 am for a swim.

They noticed something was not okay when a room attendant found his door locked at around 10 am.

Upon peeping through the keyhole, he saw a pool of blood before they contacted the police.

The police used a spare key to make entry into the room and found Detering’s body covered in blood.

It is believed the suspect run away with the weapon and also locked the tourist from inside after committing the crime.

The management confirmed to have not heard any sound or commotion during the time nor did they see the young lady leaving.

Investigations into the murder have begun as the police try to identify the suspected lady in question.

Missing Nyandaru teacher found dead

Police officers in Nayndarua are investigating the death of a former primary school who was found buried in a shallow grave near the river.

Mr. Stephen Kimotho is reported to have gone missing on Monday before his body was found on Wednesday.

It is still unclear to trace the last moments of the teacher as relatives and neighbors give contradicting information.

According to one neighbor, Kimotho had locked his house before leaving as reported by her son that morning.

His sister confirmed to have arrived at his house to find his kitchen and bedroom doors open.

She suspected something was wrong as he used to call her every morning before he left.

Police officers have been urged to conduct a speedy investigation to find the suspects.
