Police in Gatanga have launched investigations into the torching of a GK motorbike belong to area chief.
In the list are two suspects believed to be behind the act when the chief and his assistant were ambushing local dens selling illicit liquor.

The incident happened at around 5am this morning as the administrator and his two assistants raided homes known for selling illicit brews.” Said Thika Town Today
The incident is similar to that of Igembe North when two motorbikes belonging to the area chief were burnt beyond recognition.
The May incident was triggered by angry residents who accused the administrator for being biased when writing names of beneficiaries of government aid.
According to reports, the chief was well known for being strict and was unbiased when it came to speaking up his mind.
It is also claimed that he had torn into pieces a list of beneficiaries drawn by the youth in the area contrary to what he had issued.
