Two goals from Francis Kahata and Tuyisenge gave Gor Mahia a vital three point against Hussein Day at Moi Sports Center.

The CAF tournament started off in a tense mood as the visitors looked composed in the first half before Gor Mahia stepped up making it a balanced affair after ten minutes.

The Algerian had perfect chance early in the first half when a pass from Chemssedine Harag fell on the legs of Khiati who failed to beat Gor Mahia keeper sending it over for a goal kick.

Tuyisenge came close to scoring for Gor Mahia three minutes later but his week shot was saved by Hussein goalkeeper.
