Gor Mahia beat visitors Hussein Day in CAF

Two goals from Francis Kahata and Tuyisenge gave Gor Mahia a vital three point against Hussein Day at Moi Sports Center.

The CAF tournament started off in a tense mood as the visitors looked composed in the first half before Gor Mahia stepped up making it a balanced affair after ten minutes.

The Algerian had perfect chance early in the first half when a pass from Chemssedine Harag fell on the legs of Khiati who failed to beat Gor Mahia keeper sending it over for a goal kick.

Tuyisenge came close to scoring for Gor Mahia three minutes later but his week shot was saved by Hussein goalkeeper.

Samuel Onyango drove a 35-yard strike in the 17th minute but his effort did not hit the target.

In the 35th minute Francis Kahata passed the ball to Kipkirui but his pass was direct to Onyango by the goalkeeper but his effort came off the custodian.

In the second half the game seemed to be heading for a barren draw until the 83rd minute when Francis Kahata broke the deadlock.

Tuyisenge doubled the lead in the 88th minute from fifteen yards giving Gor Mahia a deserved three point.
