Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia has parted ways with legendary striker Dennis Oliech due to alleged misconduct.

Making the announcement on their official website, Gor Mahia said they parted way with Dennis Oliech over serious and persistent cases of misconduct.

Gor further revealed that Oliech was a serial absentee and had a poor performance on the pitch leading to his early ouster from the club.

Efforts by the club to reach the legendary striker also turned futile prompting the club to write an official email to Oliech to end his contract and promised to pay his dues.

“In pursuance of the provisions of Clause 6 of your Player Agreement Contract entered into with Gor Mahia Football Club we hereby write to advise you that we have terminated your contract with immediate effect on grounds of Just Cause as also stipulated in FIFA Article 14 Regulations of the Statues and Transfer of Players” Said Gor

Dennis Oliech joined Gor on a two-year deal that was to end in a few months to come.

In July last year, Nairobi governor formed a Nairobi County Sports committee where he appointed Dennis Oliech a member.

The committee which was tasked to oversee sports development in the county saw the appointment of legendary defender Musa Otieno.

The Nairobi Governor also promised to complete the construction of several stadiums in a bid to promote sports among the youths.
