Government declares Wednesday a public holiday

The Government through the Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government led by CS Dr. Fred Matiang’I has declared Wednesday as a public holiday.

CS Dr. Fred Matiang’I through his ministry declared Wednesday 5th June 2019 as public holiday in general observance for the occasion if Idd-ul-fitr.

Idd-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan which is a period of fasting, praying, reflection and community during which Muslims renew their faith and ask for divine intervention, Blessings and protection of themselves.

Now that the Government has declared it a public holiday. Kenyans of all faiths will be able to join our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the holy day.
