Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has been discharged from Nairobi hospital after contracting COVID-19.
Taking on social media, Ngilu thanked both Kitui and Nairobi doctors for their excellent care during the period that she was hospitalized.
“I’m leaving the hospital after discharge, thanks to God for restoring my health. I also thank doctors and other medical personnel in both Kitui and Nairobi for excellent care. Thank you all for your overwhelming messages of love and wishes of quick recovery.” Said Ngilu.

News surrounding her health was revealed on Tuesday by his Machakos Counterpart Dr. Alfred Mutua who told guest during the Skiza thanksgiving party held at the private residence of Royal Media founder SK Macharia.
In his message to the guest, Governor Mutual revealed that Ngilu was battling COVID-19 and that everyone should take caution in terms of protection.
Governor Charity Ngilu was last seen in public on 21st July where she met Garissa Governor Hon. Ali Korane with the two leaders holding talks on matters of mutual interest.
“Today I hosted Garissa County, Governor Hon. Ali Korane paid a courtesy call to my office in Kitui. We held discussions on areas of mutual interest between our two Counties.” Said Ngilu
