Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi were today hosted by Tourism CS Najib Balala at his NSSF Building office in Nairobi.
In what seems to be a new dawn for Coast leadership, the three leaders are considered the force in Coast both politically and economically.
The three leaders have for some time been rivals due to Jubilee and ODM fight for control of the regions politics.
CS Najib Balala has however been the top coast leader to hold a key docket in the current regime as he is in charge tourism.
Things fell apart between Joho, Kingi and Balala following the collapse of ODM Pentangon. At Jubilee Balala has been the key campaigner at the Coast.
Recently angry Kenyans have called for his resignation following his remarks following the death of rhinos during a transfer exercise from Nakuru to Tsavo National Park. He however apologized to the public.
ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s handshake has united leaders across the political divide. Its due to the handshake that the Coast leaders have met but what they discussed is yet to be known.
