Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has denied allegation making rounds that he is resigning as deputy party leader of ODM.
The statement by the Governor follows a letter purporting that he has tendered his resignation as the deputy party leader.
According to the letter addressed to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga claims that he is stepping down so as to pave way for other youth leaders to take over positions at the party.

“I hereby thank you for the opportunity you granted me to serve as a deputy party leader in ODM.
I believe during my tenure I served you and the party members diligently including organizing for campaigns in different parts of the country including catering for expenses.
It has been a learning experience for me and I do hereby tender my resignation as your deputy with the hope that you will give the youths another chance and also encourage divergent voices in how operations and relations in the party are carried out.” says the purported fake letter.
