Governor Mike Sonko rewards The Morans Ksh 1 million

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has rewarded Kenya national basketball team the Morans Ksh 1 million following their exemplary performance in Mali.

Governor Sonko was speaking as he welcomed the Morans at City Hall on Monday after they arrived from Bamako, Mali.

“Today, I hosted the Kenya national basketball team “The Morans” at City Hall after arrival from Bamako, Mali, where they finished second in the FIBA Afrocan basketball tournament.’ Said, Governor Sonko

The Kenya national basketball team finished second in the just concluded FIBA Afrocan basketball tournament going down DRC Congo in the final.

The Nairobi Governor did not only reward the Morans but also pledged to do his best to support sports by constructing sporting facilities in Nairobi in order to boost the development of sports and nurture talents as well.

“I’ll continue to do my best in supporting sports especially with the construction of sports facilities across Nairobi in order to boost the development of sports by nurturing talents of our youths. I also rewarded the team Sh1m for their stunning performance in the continental tournament” Said the Nairobi Governor
