Governor Mike Sonko to rename Racecourse Road

Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has today announced plans to rename Racecourse Road to Dr. Geoffrey Griffin Road.

Governor Sonko was speaking during the 59th founders Day celebrations held at Starehe Boys Centre.

“Earlier today I attended the 59th Founders’ Day celebrations at Starehe Boys Center. I will soon launch the renaming of Racecourse Road to Dr Geoffrey Griffin Road in honour of the late founder of the school.” Said Governor Sonko.

In his speech Mr. Mike Sonko urged students across the country to stop burning schools and instead emulate Starehe Boys Centre which is a symbol of excellence, hard work and discipline.
