Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has rebuked a visit by ODM MPs to State House on Tuesday saying the legislators never received blessing from the party leader.
Through a statement, the Kisumu Governor noted that he was not surprised by the move as he termed them self-seeking MPs.
“I am not surprised that an amalgam of self-seeking MPs went to State House without the blessing of our progressive party, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).” Said Governor Nyong’o.

During the visit the legislators led by Langata MP Felix Odiwour alias Jalango pledged to support President William Ruto on matters service delivery as they called on other leaders to shun politics.
On his part, President William Ruto noted that elections are over and that he will work with leaders across the political divide to ensure service delivery and economic transformation.
“President Ruto said he will work with leaders from across the political divide for the sake of the country’s unity and economic transformation. The legislators thanked the President for his visit to Nyanza and said their constituents are interested in service delivery.” said State House
