Governor Obado Marwa clash over World Bank project

Migori Governor Okoth Obado and Kuria East Member of Parliament (MP) Marwa Kitayama publicly clashed on Thursday due to Ksh 516 million World Bank Project.

The two leaders clashed during a joint event in Kegonga with both parties pointing fingers and arguing as to who should receive the allocated monies for the project.

According to Hon. Marwa, the Migori Governor has been on the front end in ensuring that his community does not benefit from such projects.

In his defense, Governor Obado said that the Member of Parliament is being used by other leaders to frustrate him.

Migori, Awendo and Rongo were already selected to benefit from the projects unlike previous claims that it’s him who made the choice.

Hon. Marwa further said that as a leader of his community he will not give up on the fight to make sure that his community benefits from the project.
