Migori Governor Okoth has been arraigned before the Anti-corruption court together with his four children.
The move follows his arrest on Wednesday after surrendering at the EACC offices in Kisii before they were whisked off to Nairobi after interrogation.
According to the DPP, the Governor is expected to answer to corruption charges totaling to Ksh 73.5 million.

In his letter, Noordin Haji revealed that Obado benefited through his proxies and business trading with the Migori County Government.
A total of 11 people and 13 business operated by his proxies benefited from the tenders before channeling it to the Governor.
His four children namely Achola Dan Okoth, Susan Scarlet Okoth, Jerry Zachary Okoth and Everlyn Adhiambo both profited from the said amount.
Three of his children received Ksh 38,949,376.90 and spent as accommodation, medical and upkeep during their stay in Scotland, United Kingdom and Australia.
A sum of Ksh 34,525,000 benefited Everlyne Adhiambo who received it following the construction of a house in Loresho Ridge using the said amount.
Hi three brothers Jared Peter Kwaga, Patroba Ochanda, Joram Opala and their mother Peninah Auma Otago, Christine Akinyi the spouse to Jared Peter and Jared’s sister-in-law Carolyne Onyango also were named as proxies to Okoth Obado.
