Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja has on Sunday launched the new Vighombonyi Dispensary within the Wimingu/Kishushe ward.
The dispensary funded by the county government kitty will also serve six villages who depended on Makandeni Health centre located 5KM away.

“I have today officially launched the new Vighombonyi Dispensary, Wumingu/Kishushe Ward funded by the County Government of Taita Taveta
The facility will serve over 6 villages with over 2,300 residents who have been seeking medical services from Makandeni Health Centre which is over 5Kms.” Said Governor Granton Samboja.
At the same time, the Governor launched an outpatient block at the Voi County Referral hospital at a cost of Ksh 6 million.
The block is expected to meet the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Already the hospital is reported to serve over 200,000 outpatient patients on a daily basis as revealed.
The new expansion will serve additional people especially those plying the busy Mtito Andei highway.
