Governor Sonko appoints Dennis Oliech

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today formed Nairobi County Sports Committee that will oversee sports development in Nairobi City.

Governor Sonko has therefore appointed Musa Otieno and Dennis Oliech as members of the the committee.

“Earlier today I assented to the Nairobi City County Sports Management (Amendment) Bill 2018. The Bill gives way for formation of Nairobi County Sports Committee that will oversee sports development in Nairobi City.

I’ve also nominated former Harambee Stars players Musa Otieno and Dennis Oliech to be members of the committee. “Said Governor Mike Sonko on social media.

The Committee will also see ten other members who will promote sports activities in Nairobi County. The purpose of the committee will be to add value to the Mike Sonko’s administration in his plans for the youth in the country.

Governor Mike Sonko also indicated his plans to complete state of the art stadiums in Dandora,Ziwani,Woodly,Riruta and Kihumbini estates.

“The formation of the committee will add value to my administration’s plans for the youth in the county even as we strive to complete state-of-the-art FIFA standard stadiums in Dandora, Ziwani, Woodley, Riruta and Kihumbini estates.” Said Governor Mike Sonko .
