Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has on Friday announced a cash reward of Ksh 200,000 on any information leading to the arrest of cartels at the land rates department.
“I’m also offering a reward of ksh 200,000/= to any member of the public who will assist with information leading to the dismantling and arrest of the cartels at the land rates department where there has been a conspiracy to deny the county revenue by tampering with land rates records at a fee. The same applies to the cash office where one coop bank banking slip receipt is used to issue multiple licenses to the public.” Said Governor Sonko
Governor Sonko was speaking as he revealed the identity of five county officers arrested by detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC).
Having announced zero-tolerance on bribes, the Nairobi Governor stated that it’s important to notify members of the public on the action taken against county officers seeking bribe.
