City Hall Nairobi has on Wednesday morning witnessed the removal of lion sculptures erected by Governor Mike Sonko.

The removal of the lion sculptures comes barely a day after the flamboyant governor handed over the city to the National Government.

Reports also reveal that the sculpture was defaced by unknown people at night.

Lasy year Governor Mike Sonko placed the lion was erected outside City Hall for decoration purposes.

On Wednesday morning, a truck was seen carrying them in what seems like the last kicks of the controversial governor.

Currently, he is embroiled in 357 million corruption case which he requested to have it thrown away.

The Anti-Corruption court, however, declined the proposal approving the case to continue as planned.

Sonko claimed that EACC had illegally obtained the files in question to prosecute him.
