Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has on Friday confirmed turning down various offers from Presidential candidates to be their running mate.
Addressing the press, the Kirinyaga boss noted that she is currently focused on defending her position but she was thankful for the offers offered to her.
Waiguru has already held discussions with various candidates including ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper party leader Stephen Musyoka, and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

“It was a pleasure hosting Wiper Party Leader H.E SKmusyoka, his MPs, and other leaders who paid me a courtesy call at the official County residence in Kirinyaga. We deliberated on National Unity, the Economy & especially women’s Inclusivity in national political leadership.” Said Waiguru
She has already embarked on groundwork and convincing the people of Kirinyaga to re-elect her noting the achievements she has done for her county people.
“I have not given any commitment to anybody. I am listening to a lot on the ground. In due course, I will make it clear where I stand because I still have to analyze my decisions,” said Waiguru
On Tuesday, Waiguru met Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, women Rep. Purity Ngirici and Interior PS Karanja Kibicho to discuss her way forward in politics.
