Embattled Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has been arrested alongside his wife during a bail hearing on Tuesday.
Governor Ferdinand Waititu who was arrested alongside eight others was released on Ksh 15 million bail and condition that he does not step into his office.
His wife Susan Wangari was granted Ksh 4 million and Lucas Mwangi, Kiambu County Chief Officer was granted Ksh 15 million bail.

The Kiambu Governor was arrested following graft charges in the issuance of tender worth Ksh 588 million.
The tender in question was for the rehabilitation of infrastructure in his county but it the manner of issuance that raised eyebrows.
An arrest warrant was issued by DPP Hajji but the Governor was nowhere to be seen until he surrendered to EACC on Sunday.
Appearing in court on Monday, Waiitu was charged for abuse of office, issuance of tender contrary to procurement law and conflict of interest.

Testimony Enterprise Limited is said to have awarded the Governor Ksh 25 million in the period under investigation.
Saiko Two Estate a company directed by the Governor is said to have awarded Testimony Enterprise Limited Ksh 18 million.
In addition to that Bienvenue Delta Hotel directed by both the Kiambu Governor and his wife Susan Wangari is reported to have awarded Waititu Ksh 7 million.
