Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick has requested the club to terminate his contract as the club’s head coach.
The news at a time when the German is reported to have fallen out with the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and a number of top officials at the club in recent weeks.
It is also alleged that the 56-year-old is heading for a coaching job at German national team and to replace the outgoing coach Joachim Low who will depart at the end of the summer after the European Championships.

Speaking after breaking the news, Flick revealed that he informed the board following their win at PSG but he revealed to the players after their win against Wolfsburg on Saturday.
“I told the team today that I informed the club during the week after the game in Paris that I would like to get out of my contract at the end of the season,” Flick said after Bayern’s 3-2 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday.” Said Flick
He continued by saying that the decision was arrived at to clear the air about some rumours making headlines and it will be better for them to hear it from him.
” just wanted to tell the team after the game today because I knew how difficult and important it is that I told the club. It was important to me that the team hears it from me because there is already one or two things about the rumour, but we have worked very well together for two years.
“I am absolutely thrilled with this team, with the attitude, with the quality and I am grateful to be able to accompany the team. And also a thank you to the club that there was the opportunity for me to coach such a team.” Said Flick.
