Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli has endorsed singer Harmonize to run for an MP seat in the country.
The announcement follows the singer’s performance in an event organized by the president over the week.

Harmonize whose real names are Rajab Abdul has touched the heart of President Magufuli since his song praising the president for his hard work.
The former Wasafi record star has over and over been performing at parties held by the president.
The news, however, contradicts what the Tanzanian government has been doing lately banning provocative songs released by its artists.

Some of those affected include the likes of Diamond and RayVanny who were later forgiven by the same government.
Socialites have also been banned from posting nude photos as those going against the orders are arrested and later prosecuted.
Bloggers and radio stations have also been shut down if found guilty of criticizing the President or his government in any way.
In the government, other artists including the like of Professor Jay and Kingwendu are already serving the citizens after being elected.
