Nomination of Julius Malombe as the Wiper candidate for Kitui Gubernatorial seat has been nullified by the High Court with the party ordered to conduct fresh nominations.
According to the court, the nomination certificate was issued illegally thus the need to conduct a fresh nomination exercise within the next hours.
The case that was filled by Kiema Kilonzo, former Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda proved beyond reasonable doubt that the party contravened the Political Parties Act and that of the party itself.

Initially the Political Parties Dispute Resolution Tribunal had overturned Kiema Kilonzo’s application forcing him to file a courter case at the High Court.
The ruling will now have to wait until the case is heard and determined as all avenues for any candidate to vie as an independent candidate are closed at the moment.
