Arsenal suffered their first loss in seven games as they fail to defend their tittle and hopes for better results given their Premier League standing.

Striker Aubameyang and youngster Emile Smith Rowe were absent, a combination that could have caused a number of problems in the evening.

Despite a sluggish start, the Gunners made a swift comeback in the second half injecting fresh legs of on form Bukayo Saka as they failed to overturn some clear chances of the match.

NKetiah was denied a chance to equalize when his effort come off the legs of Forster who was less challenged throughout the evening.

Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta noted the mistakes his side made in the first half despite coming strong in the second half.

“”Disappointed with the way we lost it and the way we conceded the goal but we know that we should not be doing that in that area of the pitch.” Said Arteta

The Spaniard also confirmed that Gabon striker Aubameyang had some personal issues to resolve last minute and was allowed to attend to them.

“He needs to address that issue and see how it evolves. We’re here to support him and he needs to take the time that is needed because that’s a priority at the moment.” Said Arteta
