Sixteen boys and two girls sitting for their KCSE exams in Homabay County were over the weekend arrested while partying late into the night.
The students are reported to have sneaked out of the school through a ladder to attend a local disco before taking shelter at a nearby house.
The chief of the area caught up with the students before taking them in as confirmed by the local leader himself.

He then took the initiative to call their parents who in turn took them back to school and handed them over to the school principal.
Confirming the incident to the Star was Kobala mixed secondary school principal who said they are back to school and sitting for their exams.
Local leaders in Homabay County have requested joint owners to close down their businesses until when the exams will end.
Students have also been advised not to engage in indiscipline activities that will likely affect their futures greatly.
