Cyprian Awaiti took a jab at his critics who spoke negatively of him when he had temporary blindness.

He admitted to having the information and that he is aware that his inside staff was part of the scheme spreading information.

The Homabay Governor called for development in his region and requested those not ready to work with him to feel free and resign.

In 2018, the governor left the country to seek medical treatment abroad raising questions into the running of the county affairs in his absence.

He has however promised to complete all pending projects in his county and ensure that he leaves a great legacy behind at the end of his term.

Awiti supervised several market projects including that of Homabay Town, Oyugis and Rachuonyo South.

Also called upon by the governor, was local consumption of maize produced in the region that will be boosted by the construction of Kigoto Maize meal.
