Househelp kills boss and 3-month old baby in Muhoroni

It was a sad day in Shauri Yako Estate in Muhoroni,Kisumu County after a mother and her three month old baby were killed by a house help.

The house help who is a Uganda national is currently on the run following the Friday morning incident.

Elizabeth Achieng 26 worked as a health officer at Kadenge Health Centre in Muhoroni before meeting her death.Her body had knife wounds and her left side had burns which her husband Evans Otieno says were a hot iron that laid beside her.

Mr Evans Otieno 28 who is a clinical officer at Nyangande Health Centre in Nyando Sub County said they were recommended to the house help by a family friend.

Speaking to Nation  Mr Evans said “My son’s body was on the bed with a nylon rope on the neck and my wife was lying on the ground naked with a rope on the neck, a knife on the chest and had several burns on her body,”


Confirming the incident Kisumu County Police Commander John Kamau said that they have launched investigation and hunting for the suspect.”“We suspect the woman killed the baby first and when the employer came back, she attacked and killed her,” said Mr Kamau.
