‘I Switch off My TV When I See Dp Ruto, Ask Myself What Is This?’- Charity Ngilu

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has launched a caustic attack on Deputy President William Ruto terming him as a two-faced leader preaching lies to his followers.

She was speaking during Raila Odinga’s tour dubbed Azimio la Umoja that is aimed at uniting all tribes to allow for peaceful General Elections set to be in 2022.

Ngilu confessed that she always switches off her TV every time DP Ruto is seen on her screen trying to convince Kenyans with a lot of lies.

“When I see this person on Citizen TV, I ask myself now what is this? I switch off until he is out,” stated Ngilu.

She further took the DP head-on and accused him of misdeeds that have slowed the implementation of the big-four agenda as stated in the Jubilee Manifesto. She pointed out that all the Cabinet Secretaries appointed by DP Ruto were engaged in corruption allegations that crippled some government institutions, a good example is CS Henry Rotich who served as the head of Treasury until when he was removed from office following graft allegations of more than Ksh63 billion in the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal.

“All the ministries that he took have gone down. He took agriculture and brought maize from Mexico,” she stated.

Ngilu further blamed DP Ruto for the failures of the parastatals Kenya Pipeline Company and Kenya Power and Lighting Company.

Ngilu said these while wooing the Ukambani balloters to decamp from Tangatanga and join Raila Odinga’s team since he was an exemplary leader and a patriot with a good record as he worked as the country’s first Prime Minister.

Raila Odinga had taken his campaigns to Makueni on November 12 and was accompanied by governors from three counties that make up the regions. The governors, Alfred Mutua of Machakos, Charity Ngilu of Kitui, and Prof Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni, unanimously vowed to back up Raila as he plans his grand entry into the statehouse.
