The Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission(IEBC) dispute resolution board has on Sunday dismissed compaliny challenging Senator Johnson Sakaja’s degree certificate.
Speaking during the hearing, the board noted that they do not have an investigative branch to verify the degree certificates of those vying for the various seats.
They continued by saying that even though there are serious allegations brought before them about Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, the Senator has however not been charged before a court of law.

“Though there are serious aspersions as to the validity of his documents but Sakaja has not been charged in a court of law over allegations of engaging in an offense of having falsified documents,” Said IEBC
The news now paves way for Sakaja to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, news that was welcomed by the Senator who promised a tough opposition heading to the general elections.
Also cleared by the commission was Wavinya Ndeti who is vying for the Machakos gubernatorial seat under the Azimo la Umoja One Kenya alliance umbrella.
“IEBC’s Dispute Resolution Committee has dismissed a complaint challenging my clearance to vie as Machakos Governor. In the fullness of time, the agents of darkness and witch-hunt will be silenced at the ballot. We are soldiering on undeterred by their evil schemes and vendetta.” Said Wavinya
