Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali has been taken to court by a woman identified as Caroline Mutheu over Ksh 200,000 upkeep.
According to K24, the case was filed by Mutheu back in 2019 and Milimani Law Courts have ordered both parties to file their evidence by 9th March 2021.
In court papers, Caroline Mutheu revealed that the two have a five-year-old son and that the MP should pay monthly upkeep of Ksh 200,000 which will carter for the boy’s education, needs, and medical expenses.

Previously, MP Bernard Shinali denied fathering the five-year-old with Caroline Mutheu thus calling for a DNA to determine the allegations.
The allegation saw the court halt the upkeep request in March until when the results are unveiled. Samples were taken from both parties and taken for testing.
Pamela Khamala Okelo, the government Analyst revealed in April 2020 that the MP was 99.99% the biological father of the boy.
Mutheu has since demanded the MP to pay Ksh 35,000 in medical insurance, Ksh 50,000 in rent, Ksh 15 to carter for househelp expenses, Ksh 35,000 in meals, Ksh 40,000 in clothing and Ksh 35,000 to carter for entertainment.
