“STUDENTS OF Ikuu Boys High School, Tharaka Nithi, walk out of school after burning four dorms on Sunday night.” Said Nation Breaking News.

The news comes barely a week after students of Mama Ngina High School in Mombasa were sent home following a similar incident.

According to the school administration, the students had burnt part of the school before it was put out before it could cause further damages.

They continued by confirming that action to sent the students home was to avert any tension and possible damages after the first incident.

Parents who came to pick their students blamed the school administration for keeping them in the dark about such incidents only to be informed later on when damage has been done.

Recently, cases of school fires in the country have been on the rise as the government through the Ministry of Education promising severe consequences to those found guilty.

Parents have shifted the blame to school administration who have shifted the financial burden to them as part of restoring discipline among school going children.
