Insurance firms in the country have officially suspended its services at the Nairobi Women Hospital.
Through a notice to its esteemed customers, CIC group and AAR announced the suspension which will take effect from 5th February 2020.
They attributed the cause of action to be due to some administrative challenges they are facing which they need to work on before resuming its operations.

Nairobi Women Hospital was on the spot over allegations of overcharging patients.
Doctors at the hospital are also accused of recommending unnecessary tests and procedures to inflate the bill.
Addressing the issue, the board of directors promised to investigate the matter.
The Kenya Medical Practitioners Board has also stepped in to confirm the allegations.

Through a joint meeting, the insurance firms resolved to withdraw themselves from accepting bills from the hospital until when the matter is handled.
