Isaac Promise, former Super Eagles captain dies

Former Super Eagles captain Isaac Promise has passed away at the age of 31.

Promise was part of Nigeria’s squad that won the 2008 Beijing Olympics medal.

His cause of death has however not been revealed as former clubs including Trabzonspor of Turkey mourned his death.

Other clubs Promise has played included Saudi Arabia side Al Ahli but spent most of his career time in Turkey.

Nigeria Football confederation (NFF) has sent out its heartfelt condolences to the family of the late captain.

“We are sad to hear of the sudden demise of former @NGSuperEagles forward, Isaac Promise.

Promise was captain of the Beijing Olympics’ Eagles squad that won silver. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. May his soul Rest In Peace, Amen.” Said, NFF
