Four people are feared dead following a knife attack in Southern Israel, a move that has prompted action from the country’s Prime Minister.
According to the police and emergency services, the incident occurred at a gas station at the city of Beersheba in the evening of 4:00 pm.
The suspect is further reported to have stepped out his car stuck in traffic jam before stabbing a woman in the process.

He is then reported to have entered his car before hitting a 60-year-old man who was riding a bicycle at the time of the incident.
The suspect then stepped out of his vehicle for the second time before stabbing several people at the shopping center as confirmed by the police who arrived at the scene.
It took the intervention of civilians to neutralize the suspect before the police stepped in to arrest him.
According a CCTV footage, the suspect could be seen lying down at the road before a police came from behind and kicked the knife from his hands.
Palestinian Islamist group Hamas denied responsibility of the attack and blamed Israel for poor treatment of Palestinians.
“operation is a response to the policy of ethnic displacement practiced by Israel against our Palestinian people inside the occupied territories” Said Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem
Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennett praised action by the police to shoot the suspect saying their action showed acts of courage and resourcesfullness.
