Ivan Rakitic forced to leave Barcelona airport on foot

Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic fled Barcelona airport on foot following the ongoing protest by Catalans.

Ivan Rakitic was photographed leaving the airport on foot as road transport in the city was disrupted by the demonstration.

Thousands of demonstrators made their way into the airport protesting Spain court ruling condemning their leaders to jail.

They refused to be silenced as police stepped in to calm the situation by they were outnumbered by the crowd.

The police were later accused of using force as seen in one video where one person was beaten by a police officer.

Others were pushed by force as they attempted to break the large crowd that had already disrupted services at Barcelona Airport.

“Barcelona airport accesses blocked due to protests against the ruling by Spain condemning Catalan politicians and social leaders to more than 10 years in jail.”
