Jacque Maribe and fiance plead not guilty

Journalist Jacque Maribe and fiancé Joseph Irungu have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Monica Kimani.

The two were accused of murder after the body of Monica was found dead at her Kilimani house on September.

Last week Citizen Journalist Jacque Maribe was ordered to undergo a mental test with declared she was fit to stand trial come on Monday 15th.

Also accused was Maribe’s neighbour Brian Kassaine who was released but ordered to report to the DCI every Thursday.

He was also ordered to surrender his passport within 48 hours failure to which would lead to his arrest.

Mr. Brian was involved in the murder after her gun was used by Joseph Irungu in what he said he tried to commit suicide.

In his defence, Brian said that he had given Jowie the gun for training and had no bulets at that time.

He proceed by saying that Jowie had the intention of killing himself a statement that was backed by Jacque Maribe.
