Joseph Boinnet launches book on police transformation

Retired Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has on Wednesday launched his book on police service transformation in the country.

Joining the security sector and representing President Uhuru Kenyatta was Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i who congratulated him.

“This morning, I joined colleagues in the Security Sector for the launch of Joseph Boinnet’s book on the Transformation of the Police Service. I congratulated him on the accomplishment and conveyed H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regards to him for the achievement.” Said Matiang’i

The Interior CS noted how his leadership has seen a unified police service in the country, reforms in firearms licensing, and police housing.

“I thanked the former Police IG for his transformational stewardship which elevated the status of the Service. This included, among others, overseeing the establishment of the unified police command, police housing, uniforms, equipment modernization and reforms on firearms licensing.”
