Jubilee party announce plans to vie for Kibra seat

Jubilee party has on Tuesday made it clear that it will field a candidate in this coming Kibra constituency by-election.

In a circular by party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, Jubilee says the decision came after consultation with party leadership.

In addition to that, the party has also conducted an analysis that has made them feel competitive enough to vie in the forthcoming political contest.

They went further to give an example where the Lang’ata seat was won by their candidate contrary to political analysis.

Members have therefore been called upon to submit their application before the party van forward the same to the National Election Board.

Orange Democratic Party (ODM) who is favorites to scoop the seat unveiled their aspirants vying for the vacant Kibra constituency seat.

Led by party leader Raila Odinga ODM held a rally at Kamukunji grounds where they urged residents to vote for someone who will continue the legacy left behind by Ken Okoth.

The Kibra seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth following a long battle with colorectal cancer.

The late Ken Okoth has been termed as a visionary leader who built projects that would benefit the residents of Kibra.

Having been raised by a single mom, the late Ken Okoth never had it easy attending school thus the reason why he made education his first priority.
