Jumia shuts down its operations in Tanzania

Digital e-commerce vendors Jumia has ceased its operations in Tanzania.

The closure of Tanzania offices has been described by Jumia as a tough decision they had to do.

It is the second country for the online e-commerce giants of Africa to take after recently shutting its doors in Cameroon.

The company joins operations by other companies in different fields who are downsizing operations in a bid to maintain their businesses.

Recently, they introduced a Black November offer where customers get to purchase items cheaper by 50%.
